The department of History was established in the year in 1956. It is therefore witness to the initial struggling years of Rampurhat College. The department had a number of good teachers in the past. Recently, the arrival of a bunch of new faculties has infused new vitality in the departmental activities that is manifested through students’ seminars and quiz, study tours and wall magazines organized and participated by enthusiastic students.
